that kind of comment. It's got more to do with sympathy for what *I*
perceive the mother to be going through and my belief that I couldn't have
handled what they're handling than from a critical place.

neighborhoods as a kid where 6 to 8 kids in a family was the norm, I can say
from experience that the mom will be busy. ;)
Peggy, who still has a hard time remembering to only cook enough food for a
family of four, not eight.
