thanks. I had done a google search and saw how much there was, so thanks
for sharing a few favorites.
any warnings about what to stay away from?

Well, as far as learning about what homeopathy is, you're probably fine. Read as much as you can and you'll get a clearer idea as time goes by.
Now, when it comes to homeopaths is when you need to be careful who you choose! Ha!
Some MDs claim to do homeopathy but still have a very allopathic approach, same thing for some NDs who give a remedy for "this and that" and mix with herbal supplememnts and all sorts of things. There's also a *school* of homeopathy that gives many remedies at once or combines them. None of these are truly homeopaths and therefore are not as effective. But there are some very good homeopaths out there too (MDs, NDs, and lay homeopaths who practice nothing but homeopathy).
To be on the safe side, you need to understand the basic principles of homeopathy:
A homeopathic treatment consists of ONE remedy at a time, based on:
the law of similars (it cures similar symptoms to those it can produce);
the totality of symptoms (the whole person), therefore it is individualized (*standardized homeopathy* is not homeopathy);
it follows the law of the minimum dose (in homeopathy less is more);
it is gentle and effective (by this I mean it brings an overall well-being to the person, not just the removal or suppression of symptoms).
Hope this helps!

This is all we've ever done. I would love to find a good homeopath, but I'm
afraid our area is a little less progressive than other parts of the U.S. We
do have an alternative health community though, and a good co-op. I love
using herbs and supplements too, and have had amazing results with those.
Is there a site you recommend for a homeopath search? I suppose I could just
go google it! But if you have one readily available, I'd like to have the
link. thanks

I found my homeopath through my chiropractor's office. I also talked
to another woman who used a different homeopath at a health food
store. So if you don't find one at the site, check out
chiropractor's offices and health food stores. It takes me 45 min to
an hour to get to my homeopath, but it's well worth it!
