Now I don't know about the Mennonites, but I do know that the American
Indians and the Amish make money outside their community.

But usually just by selling the things they make/grow on their own land. They don't hold jobs outside their community.

More often these days, Amish (and many Mennonites) do hold jobs outside their own communities. With the ever-rising price of good farm land, some families just can't give a farm to each son.
