Yep, I agree.
I got some weird looks from dh and bil when I said he was sexy....they didn't
get it.
I loved him in Robin Hood. Kevin Costner stunk.

Oops...I guess I'm a little behind the thread on Alan Rickman, but I love him, didn't know everyone had already commented on him.

Is that's the Emma Thompson *Sense and Sensibility*? Gosh, now I have
to rent it again! I don't remember him in that movie!!!

BTW: ANYTHING based on a Jane Austen movie is like a drug to me. The
best? Bridget Jones Diaries. Second best? The A&E Pride and Prejudice
mini-series. Out of this world classic? Pride & Prejudice with Sir
Laurence Olivier. YEAH!

I like the TV version of Persuasion. Ciaran WhateverHisLastNameIs is
rather Rickmanesque, only maybe a bit cuter.

Plus, the story has a moral about the perils of letting other people run
your life. An important moral for us to consider, here, occasionally,
as we are dishing out advice. :-)

All of Jane Austen now reminds me of Black Adder, the third series, Regency.

"Amy and Amiability"
"Nob and Nobility" etc.

The whole set is pictured as romance novels here:

It's a hoot!

Sigh... "Truly, Madly, Deeply" sappy but so, so, so much Alan Rickman...

Deb L, late to the discussion, I know.
