I've just discovered that penicillin can cause anaemia!! Anyone
else know that?

What is your source on this? I know that penicillin is given as a
prophylactic to help prevent anemia in children with sickle cell anemia. My
PDR doesn't list anything about anemia and I don't find anything on the net
about anything but the usual upset stomach, diahrrea, vomitting and skin
rash. Oh and of course those who are allergic and anaphalactic shock.

I was searching for info on ABO incompatability and the
Coombes(sp?) test on www.findarticles.com One of the
entries I found mentioned penicillin as a possible
cause.
