Woobie is a security item, blanket, or special thingie child carries around. My daughters "woobie" was(still is when she can find it) her "saucie" (her burp cloth that we called a softie, and she called saucie).

I stole the term "woobie" from the 80s movie "Mr. Mom" with Michael Keaton and Teri Garr.

Quilt, quillow, portable hug or woobie =)
