when I had to construct something for an art class and used "invisible
string". Well, the roll got away from me in my dorm room and cause untold
torment for weeks! We couldn't get rid of the darned stuff and were
continually tripping on it.
After getting closelined on the stairs at night last week by some black
string, and almost broke my neck (thank heavens I wasn't carrying the
baby!), I've had to make a "not across any pathway" rule for the string
around here...

My son Julian put a lego pulley from my antique governor
Winthrop desk across the way to the fireplace and I walked into it. The result?
I pulled the desktop completely off the desk! Pretty powerful
string.

Ahhh, that reminds me of a really unfortunate incident in my college years
when I had to construct something for an art class and used "invisible
