Another Tolkien fan here as well as Anne McCaffrey. I got some of her books
on tape and really enjoyed them. My son loves her books also...

**Nina, you poor, deprived thing....Sweet Valley High is a series of little
paperback books that's centered around an imaginary High School. Incredibly
juvenile. I'm sure many here who read them envy your ignorance on the
subject. (btw, I think I read *one* and that was enough to turn me off from
them forever.)

mindless books written for girls, focusing on "teen
issues". Personally I found them offensive because most of what they focused on
was, boyfriends, cheerleading, what clothes to wear, being in the in croud,
etc.
