After speaking to my dh, yes it was HepA that the local child contracted.  My
mistake, somewhere in my muddled overwhelmed mom brain it all became one.
However, my children were vaccinated and never had a problem and I am ok with
it, apparently I am in the minority on this issue as well.

Also, thank you to the other catholic that clarified the difference between
mortal and venial sin.  I thought about pointing that out, (i used birth
control, it is considered venial) but really wanted that thread to end - it
seems like it just won't die.

I was surprised to see that none of the pagans answered your inquiry - I
think they may have unsubscribed due to all this nonsense.

I am thinking about it also, I am waiting and seeing if things settle down
first.  Dawn

They had already written that up (and may have responded privately).

Anyone on the list can go to the archives at yahoogroups.com and read what
has passed before they came on the list.

I don't know that you are in the minority. I have, so far, chosen against
vaccines after a LOT of research, however, I deeply respect any researched
decision. There are risks on both sides of this issue and each parent is
faced with a HUGE burden of deciding which risk is best for their children.

When faced with either disease or possible reaction we have to know that
we've done our homework and made the best decision possible. It's the only
way we can live with the results of our choices. I could be wrong about
vaccines and that's why I always keep my research up, I hope I will always be
open to learning something different. Of course, the best any of us can do
is go with our strongest convictions.
