It's funny how when something affects us, we seem to think that we are the
only one! Although I was 25 when I lost my mother, I was not jet a mother
myself. I have found that now that I am a mother, I miss her in all new
ways. Sometimes, I feel sorry for myself when I think I have screwed up with
my kids and I think, if I only had Mom here I wouldn't make those mistakes.
Then I realize that everyone makes mistakes with their kids (even her at
times!) and that she would be proud of the job I've done. But it has had a
huge impact I think on the type of mother I am. Maybe I wouldn't have gone
against the norm so readily had she been around to give advice. I guess one
never knows, but it sure is something to think about.

I dont think it matters how old you are when you loose your mother,
one would always miss her - I some times wonder if perhaps you miss
her more the longer you have known her.
