Unschooler now in school
M Walker
I have one of those! My 17yo son is a high school junior, after being unschooled up through age 14.
I still have a 15yo daughter at home. She has chosen to do some "school at home" work this year, but doesn't want her life to be governed by the school's schedule the way her brother's is.
what do you want to talk about?

I have one of those, too. My 14yo has been back at school for about 5 weeks now. I think she's about done with this little experiment, but you can read a few of her stories here:

My 16yo is still at home.

Laura Flynn Endres
After radically unschooling for 8 years, my oldest, Brady 16, attended a private college-prep high school for his freshman year. Mostly, to play soccer. He decided to return to unschooling after that. I chronicled some of the experience on my blog. This link should take you to all related posts: http://piscesgrrrl.blogspot.com/search/label/An%20Unschooler%20Goes%20to%20School Unfortunately, the posts are out of order. They're date-stamped, though.
It was a fascinating experience - good, bad, ugly, and everything in between. Lots of highs, lots of lows. We learned a lot about ourselves - all of us. We are happy for the experience and happy it's over. :-)
