Hi All:

I know this is technical and has nothing to do with unschooling, but I need
help... I'm not familiar with some of the terms used... Could someone tell me
what the following mean:

ds, dd, dh, bil, sil, mil. and other abbreviations that are used like this.

I'm sure they are probably quite simple but I'm a bit of an idiot when it
comes to figuring this stuff out (LOL) I do know what that one means...

dd is can be dear daughter, also I use it for dear dog ...
ds is dear sister or dear son
dh is dear hubby
dbil dear brother in law
dsil dear sis in law
dmil dear mother in law

OR *D* can be the oppisite w/ *D@*$&$*@* but I don't use that one ... haha
...

what have i missed? why are people up in arms? are people being rude or

Well, let's see -- there was feminism, day care, nursing home care, wahm and

well, i saw a few of these and even responded to a few... i didn't see anyone
being rude though... just a lot of strong opinions... i think that's a good
thing... still have a lot to read though, so i should reserve opinion...lol

Really it's not worth repeating or getting started all over again. There has been a rather heated debate about Daycare Vs. Stay at home parents, and that was followed by a flaming hot exchange regarding Spanking. Obviously hot topics, as they always are. But not worth repeating. Let's just say that tempers flared, manners were forgotten and it got a little ugly. I hope we can all play nice now.
