Early Registration extended to 12/15/08!
The Home Education Network of Arizona (HENA) is proud to announce
our 2009 annual conference, again held on the campus of Arizona
State University in Tempe, Arizona, this year in the Memorial
Union Second Floor Conference Area.
Our keynote speaker is Grace Llewellyn, founder and director of
Not Back to School Camp and author of The Teenage Liberation
Handbook: how to quit school and get a real life and education,
and the editor and co-author of three other books on unschooling
. A former school teacher, she has been involved in the
homeschooling movement in many ways since 1990�always with the
goal of supporting people in engaging more deeply and
intentionally with their learning.
We also welcome Sandra Dodd, Unschooling Advocate, Pam
Sorooshian, Math Professor, Holly Craw, Covenant Home School
Resource Coordinator, Susanne Bain, local homeschooling author,
and David Niecikowski, Games Expert and the list continues to

A Vendor Room, Activity Room, Game Room and Video Game Room will
be constantly open as well as an awesome presentation of Aladdin
by the Homeschool Family Theatre Group on Saturday morning.
HENA Conference 2009 is a 100% family friendly conference for
all ages. With an excellent roster of speakers, panels and
events for all ages, you can meet, greet, learn and have fun
with Arizona Homeschoolers & Unschoolers! In addition, the
basement of the Memorial Union has added fun for the teens with
bowling alleys, pool tables and video games. A variety of food
is available in the Memorial Union.
