Neopets, Club Penguin, PBSkids and everythinggirl.com have already been
mentioned, my kids second all those.
They also enjoy:
AdventureQuest <http://www.battleon.com/> (a web based rpg)
BarbieGirls <http://www.barbiegirls.com/home.html> (an online barbie "world"
with characters and chatting, etc)
iFashion (and other fashion/dress-up games, there are many)
Puzzle Pirates <http://www.puzzlepirates.com/> (oh, so fun!!)
BrainPop <http://www.brainpop.com/> (not so much games as flash videos,
still great - there is a jr version, too)
In the past they have also spent lots of time on:
Kindersite <http://www.kindersite.org/Directory/DirectoryFrame.htm>
UpToTen <http://www.uptoten.com/kids/uptoten-home.html>
The following site has over 1000 free flash games, new ones added all the
time, some short, some very involved, dozens of different platforms/styles
(puzzle, action, cards, racing, etc). Great place to find *lots* and *lots*
of different types of different types of games to play online:
Andkon Arcade <http://www.andkon.com/>
