Magical Creatures game
Amy Mason
Big trouble sending me to Barnes and Nobles but one of the things I
found was this book/game/ combo from Groovy Tube. It's called "Magical
Creatures" and it contains 15 creatures in the tube along with a very
fun game in the style of "Clue" where you have to locate which creature
is guarding the selkie skin in what area on the map. The creatures are
the Banshee, Centaur, Elf, Fairy, Fenghuang, Genie, Hanuman,
Hippocampus, Hippogriff, Mermaid, Naga, Pegasus, Phoenix, Satyr and
Unicorn. The book gives a brief description of each creature plus some
others and the game board is really nice looking, although a little
flimsy on fold up paper but the spinner works great. After you locate
the skin and identify the creature you spin to use magic to do battle
against the creature. We're really having a lot of fun with this and I
recommend it to anyone who enjoys the mythical realm.

We just got Mythical beasts which is also a groovy tube game. My ds loves
it. We have played the game, read the book and he used the little plastic
creatures to battle his pieces in Risk. This one has different mythological
creatures like a sphinx, minotaur, etc.

Amy,
This game sounds fun, is it expensive, and what part
do you find it in? Is it in the kids section?
Thanks,
Vanessa

We got ours at Borders with a 30% off coupon. I think it was orginally like
$20. And yes, it was in the kids section. Check amazon has it as well.
