You'll probably learn more about self-education than
electricity...Thomas Edison is a fascinating character! But he
didn't invent electricity (technically, I guess nature did:), nor
did he invent the lightbulb as many seem to think.
He did perfect the lightbulb though, and between him and his team of
inventors, took out over 1,000 patents. Interesting guy.

Did you know he only spent something like two years in school? His
mother took him out when his third grade teacher said he
was "addled" and he never went back. She was a very unconventional
mum for her time. Cool!

Thanks!  I have already learned somehting I didn't know!  LOL  Wasn't it Ben Franklin that first "discovered" electricity with his kite flying expedition??  Caelan specifically asked about the light bulb first, but the electricity goes along with it.  Will probably explore both.  Thanks for the little tidbits!
