Greetings Unto the Noble Populace of Sylvan AEthelmearc,

It is with great sorrow that I inform the good people of AEthelmearc of the loss this day of Rannveigr Haakonardottir, third Princess of the Principality of AEthelmearc, Mistress of the Pelican by the Grace of Sebastian and Sirillian of the Kindgom of the East, Mistress of the Laurel by the Grace of TRM Henri & Elena and many more awards to numerous to list.

Rannveigr was at home with her family, her husband Viscount Alexander and her children Dee Dee & Andy when she lost her battle with cancer in the early hours of January 26th.

Additional information will be posted as it is known.

I am saddened this day as yet another caring and gentle person has been taken from us, I ask you all to give your loved ones an extra hug this day and tell them you love them. Know that I consider each of the people I encounter in the SCA to be part of my chosen family and I hold each of you in my heart.

In sorrowful service,
Will

Viscountess Rannveigr Haakonardottir, OP, OL passed away last night. She was one of the founders of the Chiurgeonate at Pennsic, a mainstay of groups in her area, groundbreaker for equestrien program in Aethelmearc. She is deeply mourned by her family and all who have been ever privileged to have met her, to have experienced her kindness, her wisdom, her droll sense of humor.

Please keep her husband & children in your thoughts & prayers.
