Comments by an anonymous heckler/lunatic on The Moon in my Yard

The color grey is "Anonymous." The color green is me. Other people and notes are in regular old color.

I have something to say about your tree on your blog. I have never seen a brown tree. Trees are mostly gray, birch is white. Some might say: there's brown on "that" tree but it's where the bark has come off. Your tree reminds me of school kids being told to make a brown tree with a "loli-pop"top in school. If there are brown trees i would love to see them but they are probably rare. Unschooling is real maybe your tree should be more real. more unschooley.

Huh! Where I live, trees are brown except aspen trees which are white, but they don't like to live in town. Our neighbors in our old neighborhood had one. It was alive, but not growing huge as they do in the mountains. One morning I heard strange noises I'd never heard before, and some crows had a cat cornered up in that tree, and would caw and then all hop closer. Poor cat! I went out and waved a stick. The stick was brown. I had a kid who used to eat all white food. We'd go to a buffet and he'd come back with everything white. I've never seen trees to match that, but aspens. Trees are mostly gray where you live? That doesn't seem right. Have you tried adjusting the color? Where are the trees grey? Brown trees are not rare here, so maybe this is the right-colored center of the universe.

Are brown trees rare in the world?

I did not photograph the whole world, just my yard. will need other input.

What color is tree bark?

All the bark i see is grey. I don't need any color adjusting, why be mean?

I have seen trees on the east side of the states not yet in the west...maybe they are brown out there? Are you sure your looking at the bark and not the shadows? Sandra, birch trees are white.

I believe you! I didn't say they weren't! I'm joking around. Why say I'm being mean? SHEEESH. (Seriously. Have fun or don't play.)

I do believe birch trees are white if you say they are. I know I don't have any in my yard, and I don't think there are any in New Mexico, though there might be.

Did you look at my link and THEN say "All the trees I see are grey?"

Here are all the trees I see in my yard (she said, repeating herself): click here

But I think you're not arguing with the photos, you don't like the trees that Bo King drew and colored for my webpage, maybe! The trees at the bottom of that link above? Bo grew up in Albuquerque, and trees are brown all around us.

I really thought you were being friendly and joking. This is why some blogs don't allow anonymous comments, y'know. Maybe you really wanted me to change my blog art because you live around white and grey trees?

If those links come through followable...
trees, grey, east U.S.

The one in your picture does look very brown, especially compared to the ones here. Makes me want to look up tree pictures online. lol

I've never gone to school in my life, and yet on many occasions I've drawn trees with brown bark, or colored already-drawn-trees with brown crayons or markers.

I've also never had a teacher tell me the right or wrong way to make a loli-pop top tree... And some of my trees have ended up looking like lolly pops.

I think cartoon trees are a lot different than real trees (duh) same as cartoon stars and hearts don't look like real stars or real hearts.

One other thought...the tree in the picture looking brown is a juniper, right? An evergreen. Most, if not all, evergreens *do* have a brownish bark, kind of a reddish/brown.

The trees are, then, simply evergreens.

(Are we talking about the moon-tree or the artsy trees?)

Paige, you might be right that a lot of evergreens have dark bark, but most of the trees in my yard are not evergreens. And most of them have dark bark. So it's not a "simply" situation.

-=- It makes for a good discussion huh?-=-

No, anonymous. This is not a good discussion.
-=-It drives me nuts that people think trees are brown..why? -=-
I'm guessing you were traumatized by arguing with a teacher in school about the color of trees. I don't know why it would "drive you nuts." That's not at all healthy.

I also don't know why you're brave enough to tell me to change my site icon, but too cowardly to use your name.

The reason my daughter and my friend Bo think trees are brown is that they live where trees are brown. I don't understand why you're keeping on as though I'm not writing, not showing you photos, not explaining "brown" to you.

-=-See that 2nd picture,the big thick grey bark? that's most trees.-=-
Are you a little kid? Maybe that's it. Maybe you're twelve. See a map of the planet? The trees you see at your house are not "most trees."
-=-I am off to prove true tree colour!-=-
You are off.
Before you start on trees, maybe you should "prove" true dog color, or true horse color, or true cow color.

Given a box of eight or of sixteen crayons, it's very likely that the "right" color of a dog, horse or cow is going to be the same as tree bark.

Why Trees are Brown in School

Holly, before she posted, said she was thinking of asking Anonymous whether if she had kids she would make them color tree bark grey. I'm guessing maybe so, since she's trying to make me change my website.

Holly suggested I should be really nice. Compared to things I've thought of saying, I am being really nice.

The tree in your picture, the only tree really visible, is an evergreen. It has brown bark. The *art* trees on your site *could* be evergreens.

Anonymous is talking of one or the other of those trees. Not the other trees in your yard.

This one I left on the blog, too.

Uhmmm... the comments. Anyway.

I love the moon/trees photo. I've tried photographing the moon and what I see and what the camera sees are so different. It's fun anyway.

Also I have always just loved the site icon. Don't change a thing unless you really want to (like you need *my* permission or influence on the subject anyway eh?). There's just something about trees, very like Tolkien to me. Luv it, luv it.

I've seen most trees around the world.

You are off.
no,your off. Typical sandra doodie, after i said i was joking, having fun she gets nasty. it seems you always think and say mean, nasty thoughts. I'm guessing your a very unhappy person with a huge ego.

I also don't know why you're brave enough to tell me to change my site icon, but too cowardly to use your name.
did you not see the little winkie after the sentence? The whole comment was a joke ,sarcastic, why can't tell the difference?

Holly suggested I should be really nice. Compared to things I've thought of saying, I am being really nice.
wow! Note: I will not joke with uptight or colorblind people.

Then came the following response, in public, anonymously, on the blog again:

Lunatic? Still calling names sensitive Sandra? What's Lunatic is putting your kids permit online. What's lunatic is using rudeness as an excuse for parents to get it, because it's your list. It wouldn't be a list without them, most of whom you grammar scared into silence.

Holly is the only thin one, everyone else is fat. I heard fat kids have emotional troubles, they're not happy.kirby's a blimp! That's not a good unSchooling model. Go eat more chocolate. Give some to your orgre husband too.

Two other crazed over-responders (or maybe two other instances of the same one; who knows with anonymous?):
The one about Holly's license and one that was just pointless by a repeat drive-by
