Trayton, 12, uses GameMaker 6.0 which has a useful little freeware version
and a bigger one that costs about $20 I think. You can play the first game
he wrote by himself on our hopelessly out of date website.

The characters fighting each other are drawings he made on paper and scanned
in.

The game is the only thing dh has had time to update this year. I guess I
could do it myself...

don't know much about their programs, but I see on the website that
they offer distance learning.
