If you go to www.yahoogroups.com and enter your username and
password look in the upper right corner there should be something
like edit my groups. You can then pick no messages which allows you
to read on the web only .

Heidi

go to groups.yahoo.com/group/UnschoolingDiscussion (at the very
least, groups.yahoo.com) and you'll find the website there, and you
click on the upper right of the page Edit My Membership and that
should work.

Toward the top of the screen, on the right hand side, there's a "Edit
my Membership". It's right underneath where it says "My groups".
Click the edit my membership and you can change your preferences
there. It's the same on all yahoo lists.

Well guys, this is the only list I have of 11 that didn.t have "edit your membership" on the group site.
After clicking on everything that looked likely; it turned out that a question-"already receiving group mail" took me to a page-that took me to another page-that had an " edit your membership" button.
something to do with another id name I think-that I no longer remember-
anyway-catch you later.

One of the problems with Yahoo is that you can become a member of a
group *without* having a Yahoo Id and password. I'm not sure exactly
how this changes the procedures for making modifications to your
membership in a group...
