I was wondering if anyone can make suggestion on odd jobs they knew of
to support a family and still unschool. I feel I have made huge steps
foward in this journey but I feel that slipping away as my financial
situtaion is at breaking point, I just feel the stress through my whole
body. Sos any suggestions on the Jobs and possibly ways to reduce
stress would be helpful, Thank you!

if you make anything by hand look into www.etsy.com
that is a site dedicated to handcrafted items, ebay-style

I found a job doing marketing and was paid very well to do it PT and
when was convient to me. In fact loads of people I know have supported
themselves through this route. My aunt did in store marketing for
groceries. My sister did marketing for Bacardi. I did marketing for
Malrboro. Its fun and easy if you don't mind talking to people.

i also did pt tele-fundraising. kind of like telemarketing but nicer,
lol. I on;t called people that asked to be calles, very little
meanness. I made 600 a week and still unschooled, dd as a single mama,
worked 20-25 hrs a week.

I know someone who cooked for a couple of other families - she made
vegetarian foods. She'd cook 2 or 3 full meals for them, a couple of
times per week, pack it all up for them to heat and serve for
themselves.

Melissa

Thanks so much for all the suggestion!

Britt Pastor

Hi Melissa,
Everyone manages their pasions different ways. As a single mom in NYC, I
share a house with my mother, who helps raise my two year old girl, work
part time at a job I LOVE (which also gives me health insurance) and then
waitress a few nights a week for extra cash, which leaves me 4 free days a
week to spend with my girl. The rest of the time she's either with my
mother, or a sweet college student babysitter that spends mornings with
her...Is waitressing a possibnility where you are? It's fast cash, sometimes
off the books, and if your kids' dad is home he can do the evening shift
with them...
Best of luck...
Britt
