I PROMISE they just weren't ready yet and I was always ULTRA
ULTRA careful

around water (still am, but at least I don't have to act
paranoid about it

anymore!)

Its my understanding that drowning accidents happen more to
swimmers than non-swimmers. Swimmers think they can handle themselves around
water, dont always take the precautions that non-swimmers do, and find
themselves in dangerous situations they cant always extricate themselves from.

Breastfeeding is the biological norm for infants. It is a relationship that provides food, connection, protection from illness to the baby and stress reducing hormones to the mother.

i havnt taught my kids to swim. in arizona where everyone takes lessons i
put my 18m old in lessons and he hated them so i descided he would learn
when ready. this past summer just before he turned 5 he put his head in the
water. a few weeks later he was floating on his back. he can swim under
water now but not ontop. my almost 4 year old follows behind his brother by
a couple weeks on each thing he does. people keep asking me if i am going
to do lessons but honestly they are happy going at their own pace and we go
swimming alot.
