Candy, Chemical, Condemnation—first time one of those posts has had alliteration AND been in alphabetical order. Coincidence, but an elegant one!

I didn’t send that page out sooner, because I had an unfinished directive to myself. It has been in draft form for over a month.

Rather than wait, I’ve sent it, and brought the note here. :-)
Maybe readers here will remember those or feel like finding them.

________the note to myself_________

Find the other pages or quotes about blue candy being poison, and you wouldn't let them eat tylenol, so why poison disguised as food?

Make a set of them and ask for discussion.

__________end of that note________

Maybe this is asking for discussion. If no one’s in the mood, that’s okay.

I remember one aunt pointing out the toxicity of red or blue candies every time she saw the kids eating from them. Funny thing was she didnt mind second hand smoke in a closed up wintery room, or bug spray. I used to just smile and say " yeah" half-heartedly, mostly because we were guests at her home when the kids were given pocket money to go to the corner shop.
I suppose, in a way, maybe she thought she was being cool by not forbidding but reminding (nagging and funsucking). My kids LOVED hanging with their older cousins and the cats, dogs and chickens in the garden. It was worth it to sweetly ignore some annoying things...BTW none of the kids stopped eating the candies, nor have they become obsessed with them.

Sent from my Samsung Galaxy smartphone.

I found an old thread on Facebook, where a Mom said, about candy, and other sweet foods " I also don't offer my kids cigarettes or drugs. They can choose from a variety of healthy options. No reason for me to put poison in the mix for them to self select. "

This has some good stuff too: https://www.facebook.com/groups/303347574750/permalink/10152714198479751/
