Sometimes we've talked about what movies might help people deschool. This is a good one that's never recommended. :-)

If you're a fan of this movie already, it's 25 years old this month (June 2014) and there's an article here about some of the cast members and what they've done in the years since the movie.

DO NOT READ THIS if you have NOT watched the movie and think you might want to. Please don't. It will tell you too much.
And don't watch the movie if you're a very sensitive person or near depression. It's not an example of what *to* do as a parent. It's about behaviors and beliefs to be avoided.

But if you're of sound emotion and strong constitution and have not seen the movie, it's a good one. It might have been the first serious dramatic role (non-comedy) for Robin Williams (or one of the early ones, anyway).

OH! And if you're watching The Good Wife and you're not caught up, stall off on reading this.

If you've watched all of The Good Wife, that in itself is a good reason to watch Dead Poets Society, maybe. :-)

Warnings galore; spoilers, downer, spoiler-within-a-spoiler.
If you can handle all that, Happy Anniversary to a movie I watched last month, for no good reason other than every six months or two years I watch it again.

Unschooling will seem quite sensible, if it doesn't already. :-)

Loved that movie! I should watch again now that I have kids and I am unschooling them. It will be with a different point of view for sure!
