Because autodidact refers to something one is, whereas unschooler
refers to something that one isn't.

I have an almost 3yo girl and I'm researching educational options.
I'm currently somewhere between homeschooling (ala Gatto) and
unschooling (ala Holt).

Nah - it sounds so isolated. Goes against the concept of children
and parents living a rich learning life together!
